Amy said: “Once I graduated from University I thought that it would be easy finding a job in my field of nutrition. However, after having several knockbacks from interviews saying I had no experience working with the public I thought that I would try something else.
“My mum suggested I apply for the trainee dental nurse role here at Castle Gate. I have been here for nearly six months now and I am loving it! My nutrition knowledge has really helped as there is a strong link with nutrition and oral health. I am currently studying for the National Dental Nursing qualification and eventually I would like to pursue a career as a dental hygienist.
“There should be more information out there about dental nursing as a career. If anyone is considering going down this path then definitely do it! No two days are ever the same.”
